Eldad Einav, M.D., FACC
Cardiologist & Obesity Specialist
Dr. Eldad Einav is a cardiologist and obesity specialist. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor at SUNY Upstate Medical University and has more than 25 years of experience caring for patients, first as a general practitioner and then as a cardiologist.
He believes in sustainable weight loss results without using “quick fix” solutions or yo-yo dieting fads.
In the last several years, Dr. Einav has helped hundreds of patients achieve and maintain a healthy weight and improve cardiovascular health and wellbeing. Through his website, myW8, Dr. Einav helps clients achieve their weight loss goals with a heart-health-first approach to science-based obesity medicine.
He is heavily involved in Obesity Medical Association events, conferences and forums, where he contributed articles and spoke on cardiovascular-related diseases in obesity. In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Einav has authored peer-reviewed publications and won multiple awards for excellence in research.
Throughout his years in practice, he has given CME presentations on preventive cardiology and obesity, including lectures on the Cardiovascular Safety of Anti-Obesity Pharmacotherapy.
Dr. Einav graduated cum laude from Hadassah Medical School at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, Israel. Then, he trained in cardiology at the NYU School of Medicine in New York City and in Internal Medicine at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
In addition, Dr. Einav has acquired knowledge of the psychological aspects of weight loss at the Beck’s Institute for Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in Philadelphia, the foremost center of its kind in the U.S.
Dr. Einav is a dedicated father to his son and has a passion for cooking delicious and healthy Mediterranean food.
